Who we are
MASii is an app that rewards people for doing good. You pick the causes you care about, give a little, and earn MAS that get you into prize Drops. This policy explains what personal information MASii Holdings, PBC ("MASii", "we", "us") collects through mymasii.com, our waitlist and related pages (the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
MASii Holdings, PBC is a public benefit corporation based in New York. If you have a question about this policy, contact us using the details at the end.
What we collect
Information you give us.
- Your email address when you join the waitlist.
- Your mobile number, if you choose to add it for First Access.
- Your name, email address and message when you contact us.
- Anything you choose to share with us in emails or messages.
Information created when you use the Services.
- A referral code and referral link, and a record of which friends joined using your link.
- The page you joined from and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source).
- A hashed (one-way scrambled) version of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, which we use to prevent fraud and duplicate sign-ups. We do not store your raw IP address in our waitlist database.
- Basic technical logs kept by our hosting providers, such as request times and error logs.
Stored on your device. We use your browser's local storage to remember your referral code and to keep you signed in to your waitlist status page. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers on these pages.
How we use it
- To run the waitlist, give you Early Access and First Access, and tell you when MASii launches.
- To run the referral program, credit your referrals and award any Launch Day Drop entry you unlock.
- To send you emails and, if you added your number, text messages about MASii. You can opt out at any time (see below).
- To run Drops and prize draws, including verifying eligibility and contacting winners, as described in the Official Rules for each Drop.
- To answer your messages and requests.
- To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud, abuse and fake sign-ups, and fix problems.
- To understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights and the rights of others.
Text messages
If you add your mobile number, you agree to receive text messages from MASii about early access and our launch. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of joining the waitlist or of any purchase. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing.
Your choices
- Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Leave the waitlist or delete your data: email us and we will remove you.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other US states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or targeted advertising (we do not do either);
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email us or use the contact form and choose "Privacy request". We will verify your request using the email address on your waitlist account, and respond within the time the law allows. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, consistent with the New York SHIELD Act, to protect your information. These include encrypted connections, access controls that keep our database closed to the public, and hashing IP addresses. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information for as long as the waitlist and launch program run and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. We keep records related to Drops and prize draws for as long as the law requires. Contact form messages are kept for as long as we need them to respond and keep a record of the conversation.
Children
The Services are for people aged 18 and over. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where your data is stored
MASii is based in the United States and our service providers store data in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MASii grows, for example when the app launches. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant we will tell you by email or on the site.
